Deploying again!
I've been stuck in a training unit for the past two years and was informed today that I'll be going back to a deploying unit in early December. The unit will be deploying in March of 2008. I can't wait to go. It felt like I was rotting away in the training unit and not being able to do everything that I was trained to do. Just thought I would share with everybody since it was exciting to me.

Hoo Rah Devil Dog!
Infantry?
Remember be nice to a Seabee and you shall reap the rewards. Keep in contact with me and I can send you or any of your guys a care package.
I hear you about the rotting away thing. Been back since April and ready to go again. Tired of being here in homeport and going through the rigamor of crapola but I know I am preaching to the choir.
Now go out and Get some.

Helicopter squadron actually (see avatar for type). Don't know what ship we will be deploying with but I'll be down there at 32nd street 11chaos when the time comes. And trust me when I was last in Iraq we definitely appreciated the Seabees.
I won't actually be leaving until March time frame so I'll still be actively trading trying to complete my sets before I leave. I hope to still deal with many of you before then.
Thanks again.

Wow David, that's pretty big news. Thanks for sharing. btw, would the helicopter in your avatar happen to be a CH-46 Chinook?

Close but not quite. It is a CH-46E but they are called Sea Knights and are used by the Marine Corps. The Chinook is a CH-47 and used by the Army. We are like the little brother.
