College (sorta live) Break

Hey all,

Haven't posted anything in awhile. Figured I owe ya'all for living vicariously through all your breaks.

Today I finished my first "official" final exam in over 15 years. I've gone back and taken the first class for my Masters Degree since graduating with a Bachelors in 1992.

So I made sure there was some boxes and some beer here when I got home. In fact I splurged heavily on cards (don't tell my wife). Here's how it went:

1 box '07 Topps Update & Highlights - Got a JJ Hardy All Star Patch (1:2,500) but its all black...1 color.
1 - 6 pack '06 Fleer Ultra Blaster box - Got nothing good; but it should be mentioned that Blow Out Cards is giving these away as FREE gifts...not to be taken lightly as a $10 value.
1 box UD Special FX - Jeremy Hermida, Reggie Abercrombie and Paul Maholm autos. David Ortiz and Matt Cain white GU. Glad I didn't get one of those 1 auto boxes and have to contact UD.
1 box '06 Topps Updates & Highlights: Jim Thome GU workout jersey.
1 box '06 SP Authentic - Justin Verlander AU 110/199 (YAY!), Chris Resop AU /899, and Hanley Ramirez Lettermen #/125.
LASTLY...........
1 box '07 SP Legendary Cuts. Got a Fred Lynn "When It Was a Game" Jersey...........................................a nd a cut signature I spread the pack enough to identify it as such and set it aside. I can't be sure, but if it's who I think it is, it's not tooooooooo exciting. I'm done busting tonight except for that pack. But I figured I'd save it for box break addicts like you and me.

SO...for anyone who read this far...I'll open and unveil the cut sig after 1 response (just want to know SOMEONE is with me.

Turns out all the energy I put into a new degree has paid off...a little. Its a good looking Bill Dickey Cut #1 out of 50. Clear blue marker on a white paper. Nothing is cropped off. A true Yankee legend paving the way to my hero... Thurman Munson. Scan coming right up.

Just for the heck of it...while I'm figuring out how this a photo bucket works, here's another high end card I'll dangle (Exquisite Dizzy Dean cut 10/30). How come whenever I pull a good cut sig, I already own a good raw copy?!!! Ack!!! (crocodile tears, I know...). Looking for $700 value for the Dizz to start...
