Emmitt Smith Ladainian Auto???
Ok guys, I won this ebay auction for a dual auto'd Emmitt Smith Ladainian Tomlinson Topps 2007 Running Back Royalty card.
Seller claims he pulled a card that said Promo, sent it back to receive this card... a hand numbered and signed card.
Anyway, I do know there is another card that is horizontal that is numbered to 25, with both signatures. The base of this card is unsigned and looks exactly the same, minus the hand number and auto's.
Anyway I paid via credit card so if it turns out to be fake, I'm disputing the charge. As soon as it gets here I'm sending it in to Beckett for grading/authentication.
I asked the seller 2x's to send any documentation he received from Topps regarding this card, since he did mention he received something from them in the auction. He hasn't email me back yet, so we'll see.

Let me know what you guys think. He didn't post the back of the card so if there isn't a Topps Holo Sticker, its probably a fake. But again, I paid via credit card so I'm happy to take the chance. I'm out no cash if it is some load of bull.

I hope it is real for you but I highly doubt it.

the fishy thing that stands out to me is the "#" before 25/25. i've never seen a card company actually put the "#" on the card. hope it is real though for your sakes, it'll be an awesome steal!

It's hard to tell because the scan is small and slightly blurred. From what I can make out though, the Emmitt auto doesn't look right.

Yeah the scan sucks, and as Hagansp posted already about emailing him before the auction ended, I emailed him a day before and heard nothing. Still, I have emailed sellers a day before an auction ended and didn't get a reply for those either. So I gave the guy the benefit of the doubt.
If it is legit, I probably won't even receive it because he'll probably keep the thing. If its a fake, then I am sure its coming in the mail.
In any case, all I have to do is call Citibank and tell them to revoke payment. I have unfortunately had to do that in the past, but the great thing is, your credit card company will ALWAYS back you. I'm out nothing if its a fake, and if its real (and the guy actually sends it) then I made out like a bandit. And of course if I never receive anything, then Uncle Citibank has got my back.
Beckett is actually here in Dallas, so if I do get it, I'm just going to make the short drive and drop it off. They used to do special deals for locals where you could get cards graded for 5-10 bucks, no limit, but at the 20 day (or whatever it is) service. They may have stopped that, but it was still a great service for cheap. Unfortunately I haven't gotten any emails regarding special deals for locals in the DFW area lately...
So we'll see. Thanks for all your input!
