Caught the UD Spectrum Bug - 2 Boxes

Saw everybody else have reasonable breaks and liked the value aspect of these boxes - so I tried two. Here they are:

Zach Duke Patch #/50 (great 3 color Pirates patch - too bad I don't know him well)
Chase Utley Super Swatches #26/50 - HUGE PC HIT - Not only a PC card, but his jersey number. This made the boxes for me without even thinking about the autos. I never seem to pull good cards of my PC players. What a treat!

So I was quite pleased with the boxes. They are nice cards, but the base cards ended up with a good amount of scratching - oh well. I will say that even though I beat the auto odds, if I hadn't hit the two PC GU cards, and especially the Utley, I'd probably feel like this box wasn't all that great. But, I will also give credit to Upper Deck for finally showing me that they can make a product that hits the odds they state on parallels/inserts through autos!!!!

Sadly, no, I'm afraid he's not. I like his makeup though, but he just doesn't seem to have the stuff.

Nice job on the Utley though.

And believe it or not, that Ichiro is a $30 card.
