Replacement Redemption by Upper Deck...Definite Upgrade!!

I pulled a Spectrum Rookie Retrospection AU of Ryan Garko. I really don't care about him at all so I was hoping to sell it.

Here's what they sent in its place...

I sent in an 07 SPX Kevin Kouzmanoff auto redemption, but all I got back in trade was an 07 SPX Kevin Kouzmanoff auto :(. Was one of those cards that I was hoping I'd get something else. The good part about it was it only took 2 weeks to get it.

Why would UD make redemptions for normal cards? Isn't the whole point of redemptions to fianlize contract details with the autographer or something?
