    2007 Bowman Chrome Pull

Before I cracked open my first box I was thinking, for once I'd love to hit something like a Peterson, Johnson or Lynch auto.

Last pack of Box one delivered this beauty:

Not only is it Gold, but it is the Gold Refractor.

Gold Refractor! WOW! That is a sweet card. I try to just buy the cards I want off ebay, but I have a very hard time resisting the urge of buying a box and pulling my own Peterson, Johnson, Quinn, or Lynch rookie for myself. That is part of the fun not knowing if you have the rare Auto rookie in your box! I know I have said this before but pulling your own cards is like finding a Golden Ticket in a Wonka bar depending on what you are looking for! (I saw the Chocolate factory last night LOL). I have waiting a week to crack a box, but watching everyone break theses boxes I have to join in! I will post my break in the forum soon!

Funny you make that analogy because I open packs slowly and deliberately, the way Charlie would.

I'll open the pack while looking away, so as not to see tha back of the last card. Then I'll turn them around to the top card, hold the cards together and slowly fan them out to see the margins so as to see if there's a refractor in the bunch. That Lynch Gold Refractor was, quite literally, like seeing that Golden Ticket.

LOL...I think we all open packs that way! We never know when we will hit it big out of a pack and that is what keeps our hobby alive! My roommate laughs his head off when I am opening packs because I can get a little crazy when I hit a nice card and I am so methodical in how I open each pack, just like you. Thanks for sharing!

PS: You must be happy that the Phillies offers Roland Arbitration!
