carson palmer contenders wrong in numbers?

it has been widley known that the black is the rare one and the blue is the cheaper one. i've had a blue one since 2003 and have watched ebay on it that whole time. it always seems there is more black ones on there. a while ago i saw a guy sell one and he said playoff made an error in the numbers and the blue is the scarcer one. I am going to contact playoff at some point , but i asked a buddy who has a program that shows the last three months ebay sales. in the last three months 13 blacks and 4 blues have been on. anyone hear about this at all.
