SP Rookie Threads Lettermen types
According to Beckett online, there are Gold, Silver and Black variations of these lettermen.
I've got a /250 Jordan Palmer incoming. Beckett says the silver is /199, gold /99 (I think) and it doesn't say the /# of the black version. However, the black version books higher than the silver and the gold versions.
What's the deal? Did they just get the numbering wrong? How can you tell the difference between each kind? I don't have it in hand yet so if it says "THIS IS THE SILVER CARD" in massive letters on the back, it's just that I'm impatient, not stupid! Might be stupid too, though.

Hmm I have a Tony Hunt #'d to 250. The Logos etc on the actual card are gold. The border is silver.
Id say Black may be 50 or less.

This is the breakdown of the lettermen:
Regular version #'d to 250
Silver version #'d to 199
Gold version #'d to 99
Black version #'d to 25
hope this helps.

Thanks, very helpful. The regular version was just listed as:
2007 SP Rookie Threads 121 Tyler Palko AU
With no mention of it being a letter at all, which threw me off.
To further add to the confusion, these base ones have the same BVs as the silver ones...

I'm glad that someone else was confused by how Beckett listed them. I thought it was just me!
