ok here's the deal, couple days ago had a "MSF" tag member contact me about a card of mine he liked and wanted to trade, ok so after exchanging quite a few pm's we pretty much had a deal in place, i had to throw in an t.o. 3 color patch/75 in for free just to seal the deal. anyways this is where the MSF tag comes into play. i ask him how other members have been doing the MSF tag with him and his next pm says, "i was hoping you can send first, can you send first?" come on so i try to kindly reply sayin i've spent 2 years on here building my feedback just so this kind of thing wouldn't happen, anyways day goes by never get a reply from him. so little bit ago i pm him saying i hope this deal isn't going down b/c of shipping b/c he should know the rules and whatnot, he replies saying, "not interested anymore." ok that's fine with me but i just ask for the heck of it after saying ,"what if i ship first?" he replies, "sorry cards are traded" errrrrrrrrrrrrrr WHAT A WASTE OF TIME! i prolly wouldn't of posted this but i also got some more bad news today b/c i got a package i had been waiting for over a month from a member today and most of the cards were badly damaged!!!! i love this site and will prolly never leave it but out of all the sportscard trading sites ive been on ive been ripped the most on here....and all by newer members (don't know if it's a coincedence or not)

Don't let it bug you too much. I've seen a lot of people who get to the point of making a deal and then ask for something ridiculous (send first, another card added, etc.). When that happens, I just assume the person had no intention of making the deal anyway.

Pretty terrible that someone would demand a member with a rating of 317 to send first. 317. I think someone who has made 317 deals will probably send the cards!

Yeah man just kinda stay away from the newbies if they are doing you that way. If they won't send first then just simply say either you do or no deal and if they get back to you then they do. If not then oh well.

I probably have no business repsonding to this... But I do agree with the previous posts. Ive had a few simular instances, over the past few months... And although they can be discouraging, I really try not to let them bother me.

Several procedures can be implimented, First and formost, dont trade with them! When in doubt stay away! Chances are they wanted to make the trade more than you anyways... 2. Turn there scenerio back on them, Tell them youll send same time and wait until you get the cards from them. May not seem fair, but hey 2 weeks later when you havent recieved anything from them and you still have your cards youll be feelin alot better. I really think, theres no such thing as being to Safe, with interent trading. I too have been ripped a time or two on this site, and ever sence Ive been extremely cautious! Also it doesnt hurt to mention something to a mod! These people are CLEARLY not abiding by the rules, and it may sound kinda childish but they need to be told on or nothing will ever change.

Plus are side clearly holds the weight, when trying to explain this to a mod... Its not you thats doing anything wrong, its them... And something needs to be done! yeah its not fair to them to have to send first, but its clearly not fair for us to send first. At the same time they have less to worry about if trading with a respectable SCF member, so I dont know what the issue is with sending first.
