Computer help needed
Hey everyone, I've been experiencing computer problems lately, and here's the story behind it.
I play an online mmorpg, Final Fantasy XI. I don't know how many of you are familiar with games like these, but there are people out there, usually in foreign countries who sell the currency in the game to buy stuff, and sell that currency for real USD. Recently after a new expansion to the game, the GMs and people who run the game banned a lot of these "real money traders". So the rmt (real money traders) retaliated by shouting in towns on the game of a website that was supposed to have a funny video, what this link did was really give you a trojan that keylocked you (made it so they can see what you type, and will get your password to the game), but I wasn't gullible enough to fall for that.
Well, yesterday, I was online after I woke up and didn't feel like signing on the game. But I wanted to see if any of the items I put on the auction house sold, and there is a website that enables you to do so. So I check the website, everything is fine. I go away from my computer for 6-7 hours to play Madden (snow day), I come back and watched a video my friend sent me via Real Player. Now, nothing was wrong, so then I sign on Final Fantasy, and I had my speakers down, decided to turn them... no sound. So I logged off to see what was up and synamatic antivirus had 2 found problems, 2 "Trojan Ad.Clickers". So I thought nothing of it, but I didn't remember being on any naughty websites lol. So I go on the game, my friend on the game says that 2 websites got hacked today by rmt... one of these websites being the one I viewed earlier.
So I am COMPUTER RETARDED AND A HALF, about all I know is how to post on this site, bid on cards and play that video game. So I talk to my buddy who plays Final Fantasy today on AIM, and he told me that Real Player activates the trojan some how, I don't know. So basically if you were on Internet Explorer, went to the infected website then did something on real player, it put the trojans on your computer and keylocked you. Call it bad luck if you want, I call it my luck... I wish people would get lives and quit pissing off people who just want to live a calm life, so I call it my luck.
But yeah there's the background info on that. So my question is, would anyone know how to get these trojan adclickers off? My computer savy friend is like ignoring me for some reason so I need help. Keep in mind, I am literally retarded when it comes to computers, so I'll need a very in depth explanation, and websites to download stuff that may get rid of it. I'm just in a serious need for help, no idea if they have me eBay information, to my knowledge to the other people this affected they only went after the game information, so I think I'm safe in those regards.
Thanks for the long read,
Jimmy

Contact the maker of the computer or windows ( I assumed you had windows b/c you have IE.They should be able to help. You might have to install windows again.I've done it too many times to count.

a trojan is basically the worst virus you can get on your computer. if you have comcast, download mcafee (for free) and then run it. it will take several hours. then when it is done, delete everything that you can, and the things you can't, you have to manually delete. you have to click on them, find the location, and track it through the hard drive. i know this seems like a lot, and it is, but it will work (you will probably have to run it multiple times). i had to do this with my computer. it took me a week, but now it's fine.

abcdefg has the best answer. You need to find out exactly what the problem is before you can remove it. And there is hope that you can possibly think they want to just hurt the server and not the accounts on the server.

Just an update, I downloaded McAfee, did 5 or so scans, came up with the same 2 "infections" all 5 times, both not what I was looking for, one was some poker site adware my dad must've downloaded, and another was for a game I used to play a long time ago... both nothing serious at all. But today I gave my account info to a friend who plays the game, the one who helped me find out I had the virus, he switched my password, and checked my character and credit card info and said it was untouched, so I was a little ahead of the hacker.
I also got in contact with my computerly knowledged friend today, he said he'll come over Monday and get rid of it, he's great at stuff like this, I trust him so much more then I trust myself, so I can wait until Monday to play the game... getting through without listening to my Seether songs on I-Tunes is what is going to kill me, guess I should buy some blank CDs and burn some music on them, but once again, I have no idea how.
Thanks everyone, wish my friend luck... if he can't get it I don't know what I'll do.
