I took my daughter to The Golden Compass movie today. I would rat it 3 out of 5 stars. The special effects are good, but the movie was average at best in my opinion. I think the talents of Nicole Kidman was wasted on this film. The Polar Bears were awesome. The movie ended like the Lord of the Rings series except I wasn't dying to see part 2 when I left the theater. I also can't say I'm a fan of making the evil people of the movie look like the Catholic church and Christians either.
