Christmas plans
What are your plans for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day?
I've gotta work 10:30 - 2:30. Then Ashley works 2-6. So we're eating about 7 and then opening presents from my sisters, mom/dad, and grandma/grandpa. The dogs can't wait to open their's!
Then Santa comes tonight. (Yes, he still comes!
) In the morning we're going to my grandma's house to eat and open presents. :) Our plans for Christmas don't change. Same thing every year. lol
Merry Christmas!!!!

Working my second 24 hr day but took 12 hrs off for Christmas Eve so I could spend it with the family especially my son. Open presents when I get home. Stay up tonight putting something together for him for tomorrow. Food, beer and TV tomorrow. Oh did I mention try and get some sleep sometime in there.
It won't be the same this year because I won't see my mom. She passed away in Aug and the holidays won't be as good without her. Her birthday was the 21st of Dec and it was just weird not seeing her even if I had to drive the engine over there.
So yes Christmas will be good and sad. But she is looking down at me and probably saying something like "I hope you bought your wife something nice this year!!" I did. Have a wonderful day with your families and make the most of it.

Got up and went to the base at 5 a.m. this morning expecting to work until at least 6 p.m. I get there and no one is around. There's a note telling me to go home and sit by the phone. Gotta love being on "standby". I can now enjoy Christmas with the kids.
We are expecting one aircraft to return to base sometime today...so I'm not totally off the hook, but any time off is good time off
