Ipod/Itunes help wanted
ok... so i finally joined the cult and got an ipod... i know nothing about them... i live old school. Anyways... i have a few questions...
1. Is there a way to automatically put all the media on the computer onto Itunes? with windows media player it checks everytime i log on for new music... i would think there would be a way to do a scan but i havent found any way to do it...
2. i Use Limewire to download a lot of my music.... is there a way to download those right into Itunes? again... i would think there could be a way to set up the folders or something.
3. How do i get videos into Itunes and able to put them on my Ipod? I really dont want to spend 2 bucks a video when i already have them on my computer. Most of them came from cd's and dvds but i just cant get them to copy.. it tells me the file is invalid but it will still play on Itunes just not copy to my pod.
Any help is appreciated.. i will probably come across more questions as i play more

1.I put all my Music in a folder and drag the songs into iTunes. When new songs are downloaded, it's better to drag the song into your overall music folder, then drag the new song into iTunes. Annoying, I know...
2.On Limewire, there's an option for choosing the directory your downloads go into. Therefore, choose your overall music folder and then drag the song into iTunes. Sorry, but I don't know of a way to put songs directly from Limewire to iTunes.
3.If you have DVD's, use DVD Decrypter (not sure if it's legal or not), to extract the movie files onto your desktop or somewhere. I use PSP Video 9 to convert my files into MP4, which is what iTunes use. I'm not that good at explaining step by step, but maybe some one else can you.

Open up iTunes and go to Music. Then select your songs, drag and drop. That should work

I use LimeWire too and this is what I do:
1) Go into your audio library on LimeWire and highlight all of your songs. Click "Enqueue" while they're all highlighted.
2) Once all the songs are in the bottom box, click "Save As" --- make the file easy to find; I save mine as "playlist" on "My Documents".
3) Once saved, open iTunes and click "File" then "Add File To Library" and select whatever you saved your songs as.
This should work to get all of your music added quickly. I'm not sure on the movies as I just got the video nano and still can't figure it out lol. Hope that helped.

Don't use Windows all that much, but are the WAV and WMV the movie files? If it is, just google up PSPVideo and that's your converter.
