Cant we all just get along?

Over the past few weeks, Ive noticed an increasingly negative attitude shown by some members on this board. Simple posts are met with rude replies, and inquiries to trade, instead of a simple "no, thank you" are met with angry, rude and sometimes profane replies. Its a new year guys, why cant we all take a step back, take a deep breath, and try to be a bit nicer to our fellow traders. Its easy to be mean, its a lot harder to be nice- lets give it a shot, huh?

    End of rant

I agree. But I guess this is how it is in the world, whether it be at work, at the grocery store, or even message boards. We should create a new a thread labeled "stupid people" and.....well....nevermind, probably not a good idea.

While I like to think this comes from immature kids, I'm sure it's older people too who are just plain miserable, with nothing better to do than to complain about everything that's not important.

I've learned a long time ago to avoid posts/topics where people are flaming each other, starting chit, etc...even though sometimes I would like to chime in or take a side. But in reality that's what they want...they want to drag people down with them into their negative world.

So yes, Happy New Year, and let's give peace and happyness a shot, and be merry.

Good message...I agree, we are drawn here by a common interest, our relaxing(supposed to be) collecting hobby.

I haven't noticed alot of these but I've been busy so they may exist.

Please remember the "report a post" feature is our sites friend :)
a simple edit or even closing a thread to allow cooler heads to prevail is just what the Dr ordered in many cases.

    Peace

Definitely a good message. I find that people act very differently online than they would in person. People are more brave and vocal behind a keyboard.

    Ed,
Great message and hopefully your message will spread a little bit of the emphasis to be friendly and not take things so personal. Of course as BCUS28 said it that way in the world do whatever is out there is going to find it way on here. All we can do is monitor ourselves and hopefully try to create a site of like minds (majority) as there will always be a few bad apples no matter where you go.

i really can't understand what actually gets people so fired up? I've been called all kinda names for just helping out here. Or seen people lose thier minds because a trader refuses to trade with them! I always say treat people how YOU wish to be treated.
Like Rich stated please if you see this stuff happen report the post.....

Hopefully we'll all have a great and happier New Year!!
