Took the family on a mini vacation to Topeka to do some shopping and site seeing. Low and behold a card show in the mall!!!! Now you have to understand walking around with a wad of cash in my pocket and the wife telling me buy whatever you want!!! So now as I approach the tables I'm like oh crap I'm leaving here broke but with a ton of cards.

I was wrong. This show pretty much stunk. About 20 vendors set up with all sorts of things. auto'd plaques, mini helmets and of course cards and more cards. The bulk of them being vintage. Something I do not really collect so I was disappointed. Then the guys that did have the new stuff, well they pretty much wanted full book on everything. Are you kidding me? $8-10 for a $12 bv jersey card!!!!!! these guys would rather keep the cards then to god forbid not get 90-100 % of BV. I did a bunch of deals with one cool guy there though. well he was at least reasonable about his prices! Wish I could remember his name. Anyways heres what I did end up getting.

Dude i was so pissed to say the least. I mean I could understand wanting close to full book on the Peterson's but when you want $45 for a $50 Anthony Gonzalez By the Letter auto I knew the show wasn't for me. They had some great cards but jeez I can get much better buys off ebay and that is with stupid shipping prices!

Was going back today and pick up a box of triple threads and spa but an unsuspected snowstorm overnight made us leave town a day earlier than I wanted too.

Thanks for sharing and I wish you would have created a BANNER of infamous dealers that charge FULL BOOK. We could start a photo gallery like the FBI MOST WANTED.
