PayPal Question....
Hey guys,
I've been using this forever now, and I always had it set up so everytime I pay for something/send money to someone it was on an Automatic Transfer from my Bank Account, which meant it would clear INSTANTLY.
Now all of a sudden, I pay for a few things on eBay, and it says they are being paid by an eCheck through my bank, and they won't clear for a week.
What the hell is that about? I don't wanna have to wait a week for something to clear when I have plenty of money in my account...anyone else have this happen to them? Anyone know what I should do to try and get it back to the old way...?

I had it happen to me as well...same situation. The only remedy is to add a credit card which I didn't want to do, but did it anyways! yes i always had plenty of cash in my acct as well

Well I have my debit card already on there as well...would that be considered a "credit card" to them?
I mean, it's obviously used as the same thing...

No a credit card backs up all funding from your bank acct! Don't ask me why but thats how they see it.

Gotcha...I don't carry credit cards, so I guess I'm SOL all of a sudden because PayPal decided to be dumb. Oh well, thanks for the info!

Yep...same thing happened to me. Took my credit card off and had to wait for payment to clear even though the funds were there as usual. PayPal should rethink this for those who've been PayPal members for a while and are in good standing, but I guess it's another way to protect the seller.
