Lebron Basketball Card Question...
Let me start out by saying that in the past I used to collect baseball cards (late 80s - mid 90's) back when there were 3 sets.... Topps Donruss and Fleer. I have been a Lebron James fan for awhile and have bought several of his L/E Rookie UDA Jerseys. One day I was thinking that it would be cool to put his rookie card inside the frame with the jersey.
So I went out and bought a Topps Rookie card #221 of him to put it into the frame with one of the jerseys. After the purchase I stared doing a little research only to find that there are now about 50 different TRUE RC's of a player as opposed to when I used to collect there were only 2 and maybe 3 if it was a good player.
One day I was looking at the list of his TRUE RC's and I was thinking, that since about 75 percent of the 47 RC's are L/E cards, how rare and cool would it be to build this set. Over the past year I have been putting this set together and since I started I have spent more than 6500.00 on the set. The only card that I am missing is the Exquisite and I should be able to buy one of those in the near future to put the icing on the cake.
Here are some highlights of the set.
Skybox LE #78 BGS 9 (only 1 is graded Higher) #ed/99
SPx #151
Ultimate #127 (#ed/250) BGS 10 Pristine
Ultra Lucky 13 #171 (#ed/500) (one of the harder cards to find)
Finite #242 (#ed/200)
Glass #100 (#ed/250)
Here is my question.
Do you think that this set is worth more because it is together and complete than it would be if I sold individual cards? I am not thinking about selling this set at all I am just wondering mainly for myself and I might add it to my homeowners insurance.
Also do you think it would be worth it to try to find all of the cards in BGS 9.5 or better if they are available? I am thinking about it but just wanted to hear some imput on the added value vs the time and money it would take.
Thanks for your help.

If you would like to see a spredsheet of the cards that has the values and what I paid for them just post your email and I will shoot you a copy over. Let me know whether you would like it in Excell or Wroks Spreadsheet format.

its reall up to you when you value them. i would honestly place a higher value on them than the price guide shows due to the fact that you put tons of time(obviously) in completing the set. time is worth money my friend. also in regards to the graded cards, there is no set value at the moment for them so you pretty much have to place your own value on them as well. hope my opinion helps and good luck on obtaining the Exquisite
