This page may help: http://www.bcwsupplies.com/cat-Toploaders.htm
For different point top loaders, it provides a mm thickness in the heading and an inch thickness as the last interior measurement.
I like to bring thicker cards to the card store to try them out in different sizes of top loader.

thanks for the link and the advice... wow they even make ticket top loaders, never seen those. interesting!
so it looks like:
50pt = 1.5mm
75pt = 2mm
120pt = 3.5mm
240pt = 7mm
so looks like 1pt is about .025-.03mm

You can stack cards next to your G/U, Echelon, UD Gack,etc.. to see which holder would work best.
Here's a breakdown with cards, used base Topps card stock.
Standard 20pt toploader good for standard thickness card.
50-80 Point~ 3 to 4 regular size cards.
110-120 Point~ 6 to 8 regular size cards
180-240 Point~ 9 to 12 regular size cards
440 Point~ 15+regular size cards

Think we'll ever get toploaders for the foldout type cards in triple threads and topps sterling?

And just for reference, regular cards have a thickness of 12-20 points, jersey cards have a thickness of 50-80 points, and patch cards have a thickness of 100-130 points. Plexiglass cards are usually about 130 as well.
