Anyone in the armed services?
I am thinking about joining the US Marines, just want to know other peoples thoughts. Not big on the current war but always wanted to be in the Marines.

I'm in the army. been in about a year and a half now. But before signing up, really think about the decision you're making and make sure it is the right one so you don't regret it later on.

14 Years in the Air Force.
What is it you want to do? You already have a Navy, Army and Air Force guy ready to assist. :) I'm sure we will hear from a Marine soon enough.

Not realy sure what it is I want to do. I would like to do something with computers, not sure if the marines have anything like that. I am sure the air force dose and the navy, so I am thinking about looking into those other two branches before I make a choice.

And here is your Marine. 8+ years and loving it. We do have Marines that focus only on the computer and networking aspect. Just make sure you have a higher score on your ASVAB and you should have no problem. Another difference is pay and living quarters. Don't expect to live as well in the Marines as the other branches. Being the smallest branch, we also have the smallest funds and living quarters are not the highest of priorities on all the bases. If you have any questions about the Corps, feel free to pm me or send an e-mail. I promise I won't try to sell you like a recruiter (I'm not at that stage yet).

I am in the Air Force. Loving it. Great living quarters, you'll get the same benefits as the other branches without risking your life that much. I admired people in other branches for what they do. But being 29 years old, married and 2 kids the Air Force is perfect for me.
