If I had the money, I'd be interested Tony. Do you have a price ?I've got almost all of the current bowlers on index cards and custom cards as they have had tournaments in my area the last 3 years. I actually found out about the 2007 cards too late last year and they were completely sold out.

oh, so this isn't a first year thing rick?? i gotta say, ive never seen a bowling card in my life....ofcourse i know bowlers (who's good and stuff) but just doesn't seem mainstream enough for a card company to make money off of (and thats ALL card companies really care about)
maybe im naive to the popularity of the sport - i know thats whats on ESPN sundays when i switch over from NFL Sunday Countdown to the NFL games

Yeah John, there have been other bowling cards set through the years, but not many. I know there was a King Pins set in like 1991 or 1992. Last year Rittenhouse started these with an autograph per pack. They sold them on the PBA web site and they were completely sold out. After my first reply, I went to PBA.com and saw the prices and quite frankly, they're crazy. They want $120 for an 8 pack box and $900 for an 8 box case. As I said, I have autographs from almost all of the current guys on tour, even some retired. The few guys I didn't get, I either didn't really care to get or just missed. For those prices, I'll stick with my custom index cards and custom cards. I just can't afford that kind of money for bowling cards. I mean $15 a pack is a little steep even though there's an autograph in each pack.

wow!! thats crazy.....i think id stick with IP stuff too, lol
i did a quick ebay search for bowling cards and didn't come up with much.....there is a seller who has a bunch of those 90-91 cards you were talking about that were signed IP.....can provide a link if its something of interest.
most of the rittenhouse stuff is WNBA / IRL sets....the one box i saw on the bay was the same price as you mentioned
learn something new everyday!!!

This releases on 2/1/08, so none in stock. I can get these for $80 per box (SRP is $15 per pack) or $625 a case (8 boxes).

Wow, then they have a pretty big mark up on the PBA site !
John, If I remember from the pictures of last year's cards, they were on card signatures.

i,m sorry i just can,t find myself buying a box of bowling cards regardless of whose autograph might be in it,the price isn,t bad but i,m not gonna pass up a football or baseball box for bowling,i,ll wait till this product flops and pick one up later on for about half the price take care steve

Sadly, I don't think that will happen Steve. I think there were 6400 boxes last year and they were completely sold out. Bowling fans are pretty dedicated.
