    Hot Players...

Just got back into collecting bball cards, and I was curious who everybody is trying to pick up right now. Seems to me that good deals can still be had on Dwight Howard / Chris Paul / Brandon Roy, but it is getting harder. I like all three of those guys to become HOF type players some day. Andrew Bynum is completely out of control price-wise. I've pretty much given up on him. As far as established players, I'm shocked how easy it is to land the occasional Dwyane Wade card. LeBron is damn near impossible, but people don't like Wade for some reason. I think Wade is the better player, though maybe his career is shorter because of the injuries and reliance on his athleticism.

Two cheaper guys that could become great investments are Rudy Gay and Josh Smith. Gay is blowing up into a star right now, and his cards are still fairly cheap. Smith has shown signs, though he's a bit older and might peter out early since his game is 100% athleticism based. But still, he's an athletic freak and could become a fan favorite very quickly if he ever makes it to the right team.

Well, I'll be out there buying DWade regardless. What he's doing right now with about 2 1/2 functioning limbs is downright ridiculous. Get him healthy and get him a few teammates and he can easily win another title.
