People who use terrible grammar on the forums

Ok, this is a pet peeve of mine, so I thought Id start a little discussion. This will hopefully stay polite, but who knows- so I apologize in advance if this turns into a bash session, it wasnt meant that way

Does anyone else find it annoying when you are trying to trade and the person you are trading with types in that annoying internet type?
Case in point, I was PMed about a trade earlier today, and this is what I got

I lk ur crdz. wnt ur gu n auto- ck mi bkt 4 mi crdz
    thx

I mean, really, who is going to trade with someone who you cant understand. I personally delete PMs like this, because it seems to me that an 8 year old is typing them, and I dont really want to trade with people who dont seem to be mature

    Thoughts??

I agree 100% Ed. I also can't stand reading lists that are in all lower case. It's so hard when it's a long list to actually see the names. When a first name & last name are capitalized (like they are supposed to be), it's so much easier on the eyes to read. If I see someone with a list like that, I just leave the thread.

I totally agree. I can't stand it when someone I'm trying to make a deal with sounds like they're a third grader. I mean, you want me to think you're professional and mature enough to make an online trade then show a little maturity. I think another thing that really drives me nuts are people who have sloppy or incomplete looking posts, but expect you to understand. I'm talking the people who put the bare minimum into a tradelist, etc. and expect you to understand. I mean, I don't get anything out of "04 bret favre gu." Be specific, tell me details, DON'T BE SO LAZY!!!!

okay i think my biggest flaw when i type is using "..." a lot. whenever i want a pause in my sentences i always put ... looking back and reading them there are always so many gaps in my posts or texts.

combonation, I do the exact same thing. Now I'm consciously trying to not use any "..."s and it's hard lol. It just seems like a better way to seperate my thoughts that always using a comma or period.

    I use a lot of "..." also .... (lol)

But what I never understand is why type "MI" when it's the same keystrokes as "MY"?? I find myself shortneing words when I'm texting on my cell phone because it's just easier to do so. But only if it's a word that can be shortened and still be understood.
