Blaster Clearance: Topps, Topps Total, R&S

Target had the $9.99 2007 Topps, Topps Total, & Leaf R&S on clearance for $4.98 this weekend (for some reason, only at 2 of the 4 Targets had them clearanced though). So I went a little crazy. I bought 2 the Topps, 2 Topps Total, and 11 or 12 of the R&S.

I didn't pull much, so lucky for me they were clearanced out.

After opening the first pack I decided that I don’t really like the design on these cards. They feel cheap compared to most other brands out there. I thought about taking back the 2nd box, but it was cheap, and the inserts are decent.

I have 3 more blasters that I’m debating on opening. I haven’t had much luck so far, but only need 15 more cards to finish the base set. I can’t imagine the retail odds are this bad: 1 memorabilia or autograph per 40 packs. Maybe I'll get one in each of the last 3?

I think this'll be the end of retail purchases for me. Clearance or not.

I erroneously opened the last 3 boxes. I should have returned them. I didn’t pull another GU or an Auto, I did pull an Eric Wright Rookie Gold Parallel #319/349 and a Brandon Jones Gold Parallel #222/349. So grand total out of (11) 5-pack blaster boxes: 1 mediocre GU & 10 mediocre inserts. I thought even in retail packs the odds were 1 GU or auto. per retail box of 24?

To add insult to injury, out of the 55 packs (plus an additional 15 or so previously purchased packs), even though I have 6-8 cards of some players, I am still 8 cards short of a complete set. Needless to say, I am pretty disappointed in the product and will probably not purchase any further packs of R&S.

Does anyone have any of the following ’07 R&S cards: 26, 51, 53, 60, 68, 76, 93, 94?
