    Topps 07-08

    hi there i was just wondering if anyone knows much about the topps 07-08. i have the chance to buy a box for $40 delivered. i was wondering wether this would be a good buy or a waste of money. thanks

    40$ is a bit high for a box of Topps.

    It's a good set, filled with variation but value tend to be low unless you pull a 'Mark of Excellence' signature, which happen to me once but other than that...it's a good looking base set, good rookies but little or no value in trade/sale afterward.

    i broke a hobby box, the results were i think about 4 gold cards, 2 1st edition, and 2 GU. the only thing i didnt like about the base was the black choice for border, makes it harder to get a nice mint card. the 57-58 variations are nice though.

    is $40 US or Australian currency?

    That would be au currency.the box itself is $29.99 but the postage is 10.00
    what do ya reckon.... go for it?

    i see... $40 AU is about $35 US... so maybe that makes more sense. I don't know what they go for here but mayeb some others could chime in.

    also, if you're considering buying, think about what kind of collector you are. i think it is good for a set builder, and rookie card collector. for GU or Auto you won't get much.
