    Website Domain Transfering

    Does anybody know of anywhere that will let you transfer the domain of a freewebs to a .com?

    I have http://berkshirerdside.webs.com/ and want to get www.berkshirerdside.com

    Ive tried a few,and it doesn't work

    Thanks for any help...

    you can do it right from freewebs man, atleast they advertise that you can

    proudestmonkey-- yeah they advertise it, but i find it much more expensive then other sites,

    i think you are gonna have problems then....freewebs is set up like that for a reason, and if they give you the option of getting a domain from them using their format, they aren't gonna make it available thru other sites.

    why not just get a cheap domain and build a new site??

    Just get the domain/hosting that you're wanting and transfer it all yourself. It might take a bit longer since you'll have to actually take all your pages from freewebs and save them to your computer and then upload to your new site. Thats what I did. It takes longer but was easy to do. :)
