Al Jefferson
This is one guy I'll be keeping a close eye on.
The Wolves have won 3 of 5, with the two losses coming @Denver and @Boston - each by just one basket.
Jefferson put up 39 and 15 last in a shocking win over Phoenix, and outdid himself last night with 40 and 19 vs New Jersey in a 4th quarter comeback win.
Jefferson has always put up numbers, but for really bad teams. He's not a good defensive player, and despite his physical offensive game he rarely got to the line.
The difference in these two big games was that Jefferson actually got to the line, 31 times between the two games. He's averaging 6.5 FTA/G in January - still not good enough for a player of his style, but getting better.
If Jefferson can continue to get to the line and Minnesota drafts a good big man to play next to him this June, he and his team could become very good very fast.
