    The Final Authority Grading

Is anyone familiar with this company or does anyone have any cards that were graded by final authority? Any feedback or information is much appreciated.

Beckett is still the best when it comes to grading unfortunately and from the sportscard shops around me Beckett graded cards are the only one's that some will even consider as graded. Most other grading companies at least from the shops that I have personally dealt with are considered mom and pop or fly by night grading companies.

    Wow, this is strange..

PSA and SGC don't even rank?

    To the OP:
I really wouldn't use a 3rd party grader besides one of the big 3. I had thought about sites like grademycards(I believe that's close) or similar just because they offered the sonic sealed cases (slabbing) for like a $1 a card, but there are so many nice retail holders I can't even justify the risk.

PS: There used to be a very nice, and highly informative graded card section here on SCF, I'll see if I can locate any of the old posts.

PSA and SGC are great, Beckett is good for the new shiny cards - spend the extra couple bucks and use a REAL company to grade... you will MORE than make up for it in the resale value. People won't buy your cards for anywhere NEAR real value unless they're graded by a reputable company. It's TOTALLY worth spending a few more dollars in the beginning, you will make more and have peace of mind and security in the long run -

and just FYI - the main reason is that these little grading companies are known to grade altered (trimmed) and counterfeit cards, PSA Beckett and SGC won't grade them if they aren't real - that's a guarantee
