ipod not working!

Last Tuesday I bought myself and ipod nano. I got about 160 songs put on there, but haven't listened to it a whole lot. Friday it wouldn't play at all. When I click a song to play it will come up, but won't actually play. And the little album cover picture thing is colored speckles. I don't get why it won't work when it's brand new and I've barely even used it!! I'm taking it back to Walmart today and hopefully they will let me exchange it.

Has anyone else ever had any problems with ipod?

I have had problems, but nothing to that extent. I have had my iPod video for 2 years now and it works great, I just initially had problems with library sharing, etc. I hope that you can get it fixed! I'm sure that must be frustrating for you!

I had a 4th gen iPod for about 1.5 years then I upgraded to iPod Video (1st gen for video).. I've had it for a while now, maybe two years? I've never had problems ever with my iPods. Hope you fix this problem! Did you try doing a factory restore?

If you still have a problem with the iPod reset it. Make sure that the hold button is not on. Then, put it on Hold and flip it back, immediately followed by pressing and holding the menu and middle button until you see the apple screen and let go.

I tried holding the menu/middle button last night and nothing happened. I also tried plugging it in. I think I just had a defective one. lol Walmart too it back though and I got another one. They didn't have any more blue ones.. So I could get green, black, or white. BUT then the woman found a bunch of PINK ones!! They didn't have those last week!!!

I think I was suppose to have a pink one. None last week, mine won't work, I get a pink one. LOL
