I think it's a travesty that they won't even show footage of it because "it might upset us". Well they're right, it upsets me plenty !!!!!!!!

I completely agree. While I understand the concept of shielding children from seeing violent material on TV, it should be shown a lot more so that mature people truly understand what is going on out there. I think if there was more coverage of events like the Beslan school massacre people might gain a better understanding of the lengths to which terrorists are willing to go to complete their objectives.

so when americ goes out and kills countless numbers of peoples its perfectlly ok but when someone else does it then its a warcrime, america should have been sat right along side the nazi's at nuremburg for warcrimes and mass genocide because what they did was no different then what the nazi's did plain and simple

americans weren't tried since with winner's justice only the losing party will be tried for war crimes. it may or may not be right but that's how it is and always has been. If you saw robert mcnamara's documentary "Fog of War" which was a great documentary, he even brings that up. he helped coordinate the strategic firebombing of the japanese cities and he straight up admitted that if we had lost the war he would have been on trial for war crimes. There's definitely wrong with a system in which every important member of the losing side can be tried or executed but the winning side gets off free, but that's how it's always been and probably will continue to be for the forseeable future.

Do you understand the meaning of "context" ?

If somebody breaks into my house and kills me they get tried for murder. If somebody breaks into my house and I kill them I'm hailed as hero for putting my life on the line to protect my family. That's not to say that atrocities haven't been committed by our troops in wartime, but give me a break. Comparing Nazi Germany to us ? There's also historical context to take into account, but I'll let you figure that one out on your own.

    Context is everything.

And before somebody asks the inane obvious question..........
If a person were to break into my house and kill a member of my family and then escape, only to call me a couple adys later to tell me they'll be coming to do it again, if I knew where they were at I would be perfectly justified going there and killing them. That's obviously not allowed though as we have internal security such as the police to handle a situation like that. But as a nation who do you call when attacked in such a manner ? You MUST go eliminate them before they can harm your "family" again.
