I can appreciate that point of view, but I dont necessarily agree with it.
I'll hate to see the government get knee-deep in the NFL like they have MLB & steroids.
But Goodell is a smart guy or else he wouldnt be where he is. Hopefully he can avoid government involvement like Stern has seem to be able to with his NBA & gambling.
Just not sure if I trust Goodell anymore (for whatever that's worth in the big picture..lol)

Regardless if this is true, it does not affect what has happened after the first half of week one. Since that point on the Patriots have been clean in the leagues eyes and have done nothing wrong. Past seasons may or may not be tainted, but this season is legitimate.

ok everyone why are u talking about this???
there was suspision that other teams had taped other teams also in the beginning of the season but there was no proof so no one talked about it.
the only reason people are talking about the rams is to take away from the pats undefeated season.
THESE ARE THE FACTS:
this is all there is to it. patriots are 19-0.possibly the greatest football team ever.
they were caught taping the jets.
they won that game vs the jets and every game after it.
they are playing the giants in the superbowl tomorrow.
that is it.

Funny that this is coming out today - I mean come on!
It was 7 years go!...and this "unnamed source" picks today...
Is taping another teams walkthrough even against the rules?
Isn't the media there anyway at walkthrough... so they (maybe) taped an event with dozens of other cameras there. How can it possibly be cheating to tape an event THAT THE PRESS IS TAPING?

i think mercury is starting to realize his 72 dolphins arn't the greatest anymore. if the pats win tomorrow he will probably say that brady was on steroids to fix his ankle.

Yep, the Pats have been perfect and unbeatable since week 1.
Now I could plays devil's advocate and say that week 1 is part of the season (of which they were caught cheating) and therefore the season deserves an asterick, but I won't because they 99.9% would've beat the Jet's anyway based on how they handled the remainder of the season. Good enough?
Now if (BIG IF) it is proven that they've cheated in past seasons then it opens questions (not of this season) but on the whole dynasty tag and does it deserve an asterick. And what of Tom Brady and all the talk on the TV of where he ranks among the all-time great QBs if he gets his 4th ring at the young age of 30? What will this issue do to those talks?
I know, I know...here comes the rants from the Pats fans saying it has nothing to do with the present. Yeah...I think I covered that and you can stick your head in the sand if you want, but IF these allegations turn out to be turn, that won't make them go away.

it seems like whenever a sports team becomes dominant, fans from other teams have to try to make it seem that the dominant team really isnt that good
