commenting on a couple things.
before the game, people were saying, brady is the greatest QB ever and the pats were the greatest team of all time. where are you people now???? oh yeah, those comments were BS, from people that don't know squat.
if peyton gets credit for the colts wins, and brady gets credit for the pats wins, how come you don't give credit to eli for the giants wins? people say the credit goes to the defense and the O line. WHAT, doesn't peyton and brady have a defense and O line, and nobody ever gives them as the reason for their teams winning, they give the QB credit.
eli has 11 wins in a row, on the road, NFL record. does either peyton or brady have that??? obviously not, or it would have been their record he broke.
some people are pointing out one or two mistakes eli made, and saying the O line and the defense are the reason the giants won. why don't you just say the pats were sleeping instead of giving eli credit for the win????? meaning, that if the pats had won, they would be saying brady is the greatest of all time, and give him all the credit, instead of belichick. belichick is the reason the pats were 18-0, not brady.
NOTE--eli won a super bowl faster than peyton with less weapons. he also has less weapons than brady. include that in your comments, when you badmouth eli.
it bothers me when someone gives their QB all the credit for wins, and tries to take it away from other QBS when they win.
DISCLAIMER--i'm not a eli or giants fan, or peyton or brady fan, but i will say i really take offence when someone says peyton or brady is better than montana. those people need to learn what a great QB is.
montana and bradshaw combined don't hold many records, except for those 4 rings each have earned for their respective teams. note--rings beat records.
guess thats enough from me. he he

I believe if you check the stats for both of them in their first 4 years Eli is way ahead of his older brother.
if you want to judge by stats you will prove me right about eli. check peyton's stats through his first four years.
I think we need to clarify this:
Eli's first 4 years: 11,385 Pass Yds, 53.7% Comp, 190.5 Yds/G, 77 TD, 19.25 TDs/Yr
Peyton's first 4 years: 16,418 Pass Yds, 61% Comp, 256.5 Yds/G, 111 TD, 27.75 TDs/Yr
Peyton had over 5,000 more passing yards, better comp %, over 60 more yds/g, 34 more TDs, & 8.5 more TDS/year...I think Peyton was quite a bit better statistically than Eli has been in his first 4 years.
Overall, Peyton is far and away better. Eli has shown flashes of being a good QB, but usually ends up playing bad to leave him at a little above average so far. Peyton is one of the top 5 QBs of all time and possibly the best pure passer ever. You can't judge the future, Eli may end up being the all-time greatest...but as it stands now, I'll take Peyton every time.

1. JUST HOW CAN YOU PROVE THE THINGS YOU SAY ABOUT PEYTON?
2. WHICH BROTHER GOT HIS RING IN LESS YEARS, WITH LESS WEAPONS?
3. AND JUST HOW MANY GREAT CATCHES BY HIS RECEIVERS BENEFITS PEYTON.
4. EVERYBODY PLEASE STOP THE PEYTON IS BETTER STUFF. YOU CAN'T PROVE HE IS. ONLY TIME WILL.

As of now I don't think so. Eli is still a bit shaky, and Peyton has the experience.

There are so many reasons peyton is better then Eli but obviously (judging by the way you type in all caps) there is no convincing you.
On a side note Id like to see a Brady vs Eli.... Honestly Eli is not a great quarterback in my mind until he has a great Reg season. Many Giants fans HATED Eli until he got his first playoff win so whats that say about him?

being a little older, my vision isn't always real good. sometimes i use caps.
on your side note, you just did see eli vs brady, brady lost.
on another side note, you just saw eli win 11 straight road games in one season, thats an NFL record in case you didn't know.
so many reasons peyton is better, WHAT REASONS??? because he has more weapons? because he dances around at the line a lot more? he get a ring faster??? NOT!
peyton took 6 years, eli took 4. count the difference, then tell me who got a ring faster.
and, obviously you are a pats fan.
this is for the pats fans that are bad mouthing eli---your great team that was supposed to be the first 19-0 perfect undefeated team just got beat in the super bowl by the lesser of the two manning brothers. imagine what peyton would have done to you as you are saying he is better than eli. he would have spanked you.
just remember that it was ELI that beat you, not peyton with all his weapons.
if stopping your perfect season doesn't make eli great, nothing will. ho ho ho
DISCLAIMER---i am not a eli or giants fan, i am just pointing out the obvious.

2. WHICH BROTHER GOT HIS RING IN LESS YEARS, WITH LESS WEAPONS?
3. AND JUST HOW MANY GREAT CATCHES BY HIS RECEIVERS BENEFITS PEYTON.
Are you forgetting a great catch by Eli's wide receiver last night in the final drive? If his receiver hadn't made a great catch, that pass would have been intercepted, the Pats would have won, your precious Eli would have lost the game for the Giants, and we wouldn't even be having this conversation.
Peyton may have great WRs, but every great QB in history has had good WRs. Namath had Maynard, Bradshaw had Stallworth and Swann, Montana had Clark and Rice, Marino had Clayton and Duper...does that mean they weren't that good? They just had great WRs? Just because someone plays with other great players doesn't mean they're any less great themselves.
And while we're speaking of more weapons, let's talk about Eli's D...the only reason the Giants won the game. Offense alone, let alone Eli, couldn't have beat the Pats. We saw how that worked out when they played in the regular season. The only reason Eli has a ring is because the Giants D stepped up.
And you say you can't prove those things about Peyton...how can you prove that his WRs made him any better? It's possible Wayne and Harrison wouldn't be as good if they didn't have Peyton.
Now for my disclaimer - I hate Eli, I won't hide that fact. But if there are 2 things I hate in the NFL more than Eli, it's the Cowboys and the Patriots. I was jumping up and down, happy as a pig in slop when the Giants drove down and scored that last TD. But that doesn't mean I'm going to be blinded by hatred or admiration one way or the other...

I hate comparing the Manning brothers because it's almost like comparing night & day. Not only are their personalities different, their QB style is as well. Is Eli better than Peyton? As of right now, as much as I'd love to say yes, I'd have to say no...even though that's somewhat of an unfair question considering both QB's have several years of playing ahead of them. I believe Eli has the potential to be one of the best in the NFL, possibly surpassing any stats that his older brother has put up. But, doesn't really matter to me, as both are good QB's in their own right...I just happen to like one more than the other =)

FACTS---
eli has a ring, and he got one faster than peyton.
eli outscored brady.
eli in superbowl, peyton isn't.
eli doesn't have as many weapons as peyton and brady. stop that crap about the defense, we're talking about quarterbacks.
eli has NFL record--11 straight road wins, or do you want to give them all to the defense, yeah, that would be real slick.
pats fans hate the fact that they got beat, and their hero brady lost.
pats fans have no class either.
brady and peyton fans need to give it a rest instead of tearing down elis win.
THE GAME IS OVER, IT IS DONE.
