2007 SP Authentic Box !!!!!!

I’ve been looking forward to getting a box of SP Authentic since it was supposed to come out in mid-January. Unfortunately it was forecast to be near blizzard conditions in the Chicago area, and the only shop that’s open late is about 45-60 minutes away on a good day. My horoscope said something like “today’s the day to make any purchases” though, so I risked the bad road conditions to make it to the shop.

I was planning to buy a box anyway, but I asked the shop owner if he’d opened any packs yet so I could see the design of the cards. He wasn’t planning on opening his box until the weekend, but since I asked, he opened a box & pack to show me the cards. The first pack he opened of the box that should have been mine had a nice Marshawn Lynch three color patch & on-card auto.

Hopefully the second box will be just as good. I’m opening half the box now (Wednesday night), but plan to save the last 12 packs to satisfy the addiction Thursday night. (I’m typing this live, but since I have no internet, it’ll have to wait until Thursday to get posted)

ADRIAN PETERSON!!!!!!!!!

Three color patch (white, yellow, & a tiny corner of purple) with an on-card autograph (in blue ink) #327/399

I know Peterson’s a tough guy with how he runs over defenses, but I wish he would have been a little more gentle with the card while signing it though - it came out of the pack with some slight wear on two of the corners. I guess I’d rather pull a slightly worn Peterson than some of the other “hits” I’ve seen posted though.

Since it just came out, and it’s not in the guides yet, does anyone have any idea of what this card might be go for?

It’ll be hard to beat these first 11 packs, but I’ll post the last 13 packs, including the final autograph, first thing Friday morning.

EDIT: One with a yellow patch with just an edge of purple sold on eBay for $500. My guess is yours could knock down $600-$750. Should book at least $1500 IMO.

As expected, the last half paled in comparison to the Adrian Peterson Auto .Patch

Pack 12 had: Scott Chandler Rookie Authentics Signatures 977/999

Pack 18 had: Dashon Goldson (49ers I think) Rookie 664/1399 (no auto)

The rest was base.

I'm still 1 card short of a complete set (92)...so I might pick up another box & hope my luck continues.
