what I really dislike is that it seems like I have to sign in every 5 minutes or so. I've cleared my cache, deleted cookies etc etc etc ... and still every 5 minutes or so I have to sign in.

    any explanation?

I have this problem too if I spend more than a few minutes composing a post. What is the "inactivity" setting here anyway?

I know it's been a while since you guys left these posts, but I used to have this same problem. Then I did something the other day and all of a sudden I could stay logged on. What did I do? While I was logged in, I actually clicked the "Log Out" button on the far right of the bar of links at the top of the screen. I was logged out and a pop-up said that my cookies had been cleared. I logged in again and clicked "Remeber Me," and I've been logged on ever since. I don't know if it'll work for you, but it's worth a shot. LMK if it works!
