2007 Donruss Gridiron Gear is a great choice. It's always a fun break and you end up with some nice hits. Either way, check out www.cardsbythebox.com (its run by SCF Staffer Enigma). You can find good deals on there for some nice football boxes. Welcome to SCF and if you need any other help feel free to PM me or any other staffers!

I keep asking that too. Everyone seems to like SP authentic because of the # of autos in a box and its $99 on cards by the box also. I'm thinking about getting that, but first ill get a box of Bowman chrome and two boxes of topps DPP. Hopefully that helps.

id say try your luck with Sp authentic. nice chance for a big hit.

also try leaf limited, i think thats around a 100..or maybe gridiron gear

or take a cheaper route and pick up 2 bowman chrome..you get a lot of nice rookies and 2 autos and lots of refractors..i think its a good deal

    all solid choices

Gridiron Gear is great & I like Donruss Elite. It'll give you lots of inserts & a few GU/Autos...Don't waste your money on SP Authentic. It's way too hit or miss! Leaf Limited is only 7 cards per $125 box, so that's not a good way to expand your collection.

Get a box from last year or prior. You'll get more for your money. Unless you really want an '07 product.

Is it me or do boxes from 2006-earlier get cheaper? Is it because there is a surplus of them? I'm thinking about getting some of the 07 boxes in a few months once the new 08's come out.

It's because everyone has forgotten about Reggie Bush, Vince Young, Leinart, etc. Now they are thinking about Adrian Peterson, Marshawn Lynch and Calvin Johnson. If you buy boxes when everyone else wants the same boxes you are bound to pay more.
