    Ebay Question...Need Help!

I sold a card to someone and it was mint condition when I sent it. When they received it they said it was not in mint condition. They also suspected the patch was fake. I pulled this card myself and when I sent it, it was mint without a doubt. They are threatening to open a paypal dispute. Can they really? They did purchase insurance or anything...PLMK
    thanks

That is one thing about Ebay/PayPal that I do not like, they claim to protect the sellers as well as the buyers but yet the buyers can pretty much dispute anything at anytime and I guarantee they win 75 percent of the time.

As for your situation I would recommend that you have the guy send the card back to you and then issue him a refund, or if you can agree to a partial refund without him sending back that would be best. I would not recommend trying to fight with him cause you would most likely lose.

Just my 2 cents and hope it helps..

    Thanks,
    Dan

Yes, they can open dispute and will probably claim the card wasn't as advertised. You can either let them return the item for a refund, work out a partial refund and they keep the card with no dispute or fight them and PayPal - you will need photo evidence of the condition before you sent then after they received to prove your claim or it's your word against theirs. And lately PayPal and Ebay are leaning in the buyers direction IMO. Good Luck!

Ask them to send you a scan of the damaged card. Make sure its the same one you sent.

Make sure you contact him only through the dispute!!! Do not email him.
This is why I only buy and not sell. Tell him to send you the card and you need DC on it to prove it was sent. If you do ever get the card back give him his money back and never allow him to bid on anything of yours again.
