Thoughts on Topps Finest and Topps TX?

Thinking about getting a box of one of these...wanted to hear some opinions. Have you busted either or both? Good bust/bad bust? How are they on tradeability? Compared to other similar brands? I know people will tell me to get Gridiron Gear or Threads or other Donruss products...I've done those already, looking for something new...just tell me anything about them. Thanks!!

i'd stick with finest outta the two unless you get Tix at a heavily discounted price. the usual hit output of Tix is a few common ticket stub autos and a common to mid-level rookie auto. atleast with finest your "common" hits will be of rookies who have a chance to prosper and not of bench warmers who just happened to be on a super bowl teams roster and were added to the set.

On another note, would you be interested in moving your Paul Williams contenders auto? lmk if so

uh...skip em both and buy single cards...TX has really not popped out anything really nice that Ive seen, and finest, while very nicely designed, doesnt seem to hold much value from year to year

Ed...it's a great idea to buy singles, but I'm addicted to busting wax. It's nice to have a mailday w/some nice PC items, but I don't get anywhere near the rush that I get from a fresh hobby box mailday...Not the most efficient way of getting a nice collection, but that's how I like to roll. Thanks for the post though, glad to see you're still hanging around here!

i've bought 2 boxes of TX and i love it....it's one of the most fun boxes to break IMO...out of 12 packs you get 8 guarenteed hits....cant beat that.

and you wont find those autographed ticket stubs anywhere else.

ive pulled some decent ones....like a Hasselbeck auto ticket, and a Manning regular ticket

I agree I like TX as well! I'm not too keen on the design of the Base card, but the Pro Bowl relics and the ticket stubs whether auto'd or not, I feel are a really cool idea and I hope they bring them back in 08! The packaging is also nice for TX! I think if you can find TX at a reasonable price possible on ebay they I'd go for it! Enjoy your break what ever you choose!
