    Donruss cards at Target

I'm new at collecting football cards and was wondering if the Donruss Threads and Gridiron Gear boxes and packs that they sell at Target are the same as in the card stores ? They seem to look identical and are significantly cheaper.

    Thanx...

Yeah like cettin said, the Hobby products have better chances of RCs, inserts, and especially GU and autos, which is the case with almost any brand, not just Donruss. In Threads hobby boxes, you're guaranteed 4 GU or autos and in Gridiron Hobby 3. In the retail versions, there are no GU/auto guarantee, so the odds of actually pulling one from retail is much much lower. Another thing for Gridiron Gear, the RCs are different b/w hobby and retail. The hobby versions have a metallic background, while the retail versions have regular color.

The retail boxes off are about 1 auto gu per box, but you always have to worry about people searching the packs.

I have had such horrible luck with retail boxes...I would advise to stay away. I have spent hundreds and hundreds and the best I have pulled is a Bowman chrome fabric of the future from Brian Leonard (WHO?) So stay away if you are looking for anything more than base cards.

If you are going to buy retail, the best advice anyone can give is to always stick with the blasters. Like someone said before, pretty much every retailer has a jerk that comes in a searches the packs.

Thanx guy's. This helps alot. I did buy an eight pack box of gridiron gear and pulled a Mcnair jersey and a Bulger Jersey. Neither are autographed though. Is this pretty good ? Box cost $20.
