Another 2007 Gridiron Gear Box

I went to a card show at a mall about 30-45 minutes away this weekend. With only a handful of dealers, it was a far cry from the shows I remember as a kid 18 years ago.

Since I had such great luck with my last box of Gridiron Gear (last pack had an autographed Adrian Peterson dual prime jersey), and my local shops are out, I planned to buy a box or two. On Saturday I found a guy selling it for $90 a box, the only problem was that he was out of sealed boxes, but had one opened box with 18 packs that he said he just opened at the last show, and didn’t mix in any packs. I was skeptical, but only found one other dealer who had only one unopened box left, but his best price was $99.

I ended up picking up some more top loaders & hinged cases to package a few trades, then went back & offered $85 for the opened, but full, box of Gridiron. Luckily he accepted.

After this kind of box, to thank the dealer I bought it from, I went back on Sunday & bought a box of 2007 Elite for $80. I’ll post the break recap in another thread later today.

Since I’ve had some good luck with the last boxes on the shelf, I also picked up the last Gridiron from the other dealer for $99 (and a thick magnetic case for the Vince Young). As much as I want to immediately crack this box open too, I spent way too much money on cards again, so to feed the addiction throughout the week, starting Monday, I’ll open a few packs a night & post them in yet another thread.

Most of the cards are for trade.
