    just saying that it is possible, and there are some unscrupulous dealers/sellers, and the bottem line is $$$$$, isn't it? quite a few of them use shills, don't they?

    Topps states simply, "not intended for individual sale" this means that shops are not intended to sell them like that because of the pack placement. If you were to report them they could lose their topps product.

    that is so so not cool. Very scary. I wondered how often that happens with boxes on ebay. I gave card shops more credit though.


    Heh. I walked into a shop I had not visited before and he had an "unopened" box of 2007 Bowman Chrome. This is about 2 weeks after release. I told the guy I just wanted to buy 4 packs, so he opened the box...guess what was missing...no toploader. The packs were arranged in the box like they would have been had the toploader pack been there, but that silver pack was absent.

    I think most manufacturer shrinkwrap with logo'd plastic, and that plastic was certainly not logo'd. That's a rule-of-thumb I'd use if you are ever skeptical.

    I just opened a box of chrome and I didn't get the silver pack either. Don't think they guarantee it though.
