    need some advice

as you know I am collecting 1997 Legends. I pulled a Fred Dean certified auto card without the auto. He is going to be doing a show in about a week would it be out of line to ask him to sign the card without paying for itBeing that it should have been signed. And would you have him add his HOF 2008 on it
    thanks

If you are collecting it that would be fine. As long as your not trying to do it and resell it.

i would ask him to sign, but leave off the HOF 2008. that would raise all kinds of questions down the line. mainly how did a 2008 get on a 97 card, and is it really authentic?

Hold off of the inscription....like bearfield said...it will look shady as far as authenticity goes

I also don't know if I a making the card less valuable being that it is a oddball card by getting it signed. Either way it would be totally cool to have in my collection.
