Spurs make a trade
Traded Brent Barry, Francisco Elson, and a 2009 1st round pick for Kurt Thomas.
I don't like this move. Spurs gave up too much. I would feel much better if the Sonics bought out Barry's contract and Spurs resigned him. But right now, I'm disgusted with this move.

thats alot a #1 for kurt thomas do they know something we dont.. maybe to save some money to sign someone? who knows

That's the thing. I don't think they saved any money. Kurt Thomas 2008 salary is $8 million, which was more than Barry and Elson combined. I guess Spurs really wanted his interior rebounding/defense. On a positive note, Spurs did get younger. lol

Spurs haven't made use of their picks in recent years. I guess that isn't a big deal. But I want Brent Barry back!

Bad trade for the spurs! It's been a active season trading wise though!

Maybe they just made this trade to say "we've made a trade like all the other teams in the west"
It certainly does not make them better
