    New Ebay Layout

How bad does the new ebay layout suck? I am afraid to list anything because I do not think people will be able to find my items. The new layout makes it a lot harder to find what you are looking for. Anyone else agree with me?

I'm missing something...I know about the fee and feedback changes...but what changes were made to the layout?

The new layout is horrible. Didn't they have voting on this from October through January? I saw the numbers in December and it had a 25% approval rating for the new layout.

    Horrible.....

Thank you. I have written a few emails detailing my disgust at the new layout/ebay. For those that don't know they changed the way you search for items to make it 10 times more difficult to find what you are looking for.

What exactly has changed about the way you search? Everything appears the same to me

Acoording to their discussion forums, Ebay is slowly but surely moving everyone over to ther new search, so you might not have it yet. A friend of mine had it last Wednesday and it started for me this weekend.

The problem with it is, everytime you search your field gets narrowed by your previous search unless you keep going back. An example would be:

I do a search for 2008 Upper Deck, the list will show me all the listings for 2008 upper deck. Then lets say you are done searching that and want to search for Derek Jeter Game Jersey cards. Under the new search, if you were to type in Derek Jeter Jersey after your 2008 Upper deck search, you will only get matches that have 2008 Upper deck AND Derek Jeter Jersey in them. Essentially your search will only yeild 2008 Upper Deck Derek Jeter Jerseys. In order to do a completely different search you have to go back (and sometimes using the back button doesn't take you to the previous search page but rather to a previously searched block) or X out the top listings. Sounds complicated right?......Well it is.

Ebay has asked for advice in their new search and A LOT of it has been negative. Hopefully they will go back to the other way.

    Hope this explains it all.

It does, thank you very much Dengar!

I can see how that would be helpful at times, but I wouldn't want it to be like that automatically. It would be nice to have that as an optional search you can go to, but keep the way it has been as the regular search.

I hate the new layout as well. It seems to me that it is alot harder to navigate through a search (getting to BINs, completed listings, etc.).
