2007 Leaf Certified Materials
I left work on time again to give myself time to get to the card shop before they close at 6:00. I went to pick up a box of Co-Signers. Even though I’m not a huge fan of Topps’ cards, I haven’t had much luck with Donruss (or any brand for that matter), and I remembered the boxes being relatively inexpensive at $82. Unfortunately, either they raised the price to $92, or I don’t remember correctly. Either way, I ended up picking up a box of ’07 Leaf Certified Materials instead. I got it for $92. It has 4 memorabilia or autograph cards per box of 10 packs. Plus, I have already opened one disappointing box, maybe this one will be better, or at least get me close to a complete set.
Pack 1:
Patrick Crayton, Mirror Red Shawne Merriman 62/100, Jason Campbell, Nate Burleson, Brett Favre
Pack 2:
Randy McMichael, Fabric of the Game: Paul Warfield 1/25 (WR cut-Teal), Cedric Benson, TJ Houshmandzadeh, Marcedes Lewis, Ben Roethlisberger, Brandon Jones
Pack 3:
Ronnie Brown, Certified Potential: DeAngelo Williams 11/1000, Ben Watson, Steve Smith, Terry Glenn
Pack 4:
Troy Williamson, Jerricho Cotchery, Ahman Green, Champ Bailey, Dallas Clark, Freshman Fabric: Kenny Irons 79/1499 (the corner is bent on this one, so I’ll probably send it back. Is Donruss pretty good at replacing damaged cards?)
Pack 5:
Brandon Jacobs, Jarvis Moss R.C. 934/1500, Steven Jackson, Chris Cooley, Jerious Norwood

Pack 6:
Bernard Berrian, Chris Chambers, Jamal Lewis, LenDale White, Troy Polamalu
I had heard that each pack contains a numbered card…this last pack ruled that theory false.
Pack 7:
Michael Vick, Leon Washington, Terrell Owens, Torry Holt, LaDell Betts, Immortals: Ron Mix GU 32/75 (white swatch)
Pack 8:
Cadillac Williams, Lee Evans, Rod Smith, Reggie Wayne, Ronald Curry
Pack 9:
Nick Barnett, Gold Team: Frank Gore 100/500, Josh Reed, Mark Clayton, Anquan Boldin
Pack 10:
Chad Pennington, Deuce McAllister, Philip Rivers, DeMeco Ryans, Eddie Kennison, Freshman Fabric: Robert Meachem 93/1499 (black swatch)
Well, that was a waste of money. I already had the base Favre, so for my personal collection, I only got the TO base. I’m not really sure why I keep buying boxes. I haven’t really had a nice pull in the last 7 or 8 boxes.
All is for trade. Hopefully someone can use some of this stuff.

I'm usually not a big fan of buying individual cards though - there's something about opening a new pack, flipping a card, and finding something great sitting there (and having to do a double or triple take to make sure I'm not seeing things) If just hasn't happened in a while.
Hopefully we'll both have better luck this weekend spuds1961.
