Good luck. I'm pretty sure you will get a "sorry but the president is too busy to answer all mail" kind of replies. I tried getting President Ford a few years ago before he died on a Topps American Pie card and I got a letter back from his secretary saying he only signed copies of his autobiography which was out of print.

I may actually have an extra one, but it will take a couple days for me to look.
I have this one on my wall (from an award I got)
Just to show you what it looks like (in case you see any on Ebay to compare)

when i was in 3rd grade we had an assignment to write to either the president or vice president. i wrote to al gore, and i got a letter back, and it was signed by him. i'm pretty sure everyone got a signed letter back. these were mailed from the school's address. i think if you write from a school, you're more likely to get a real signature back.
i wrote to bill clinton later from my home address, you get back just a postcard saying thanks with a screened on signature.
i also wrote to a senator of california in elementary school asking for information on for a project on california and he sent me pamphlets and a signed letter.
basically if you are a kid writing from a school i think you stand a good chance, but if you're just someone writing from a home address i think it is not likely.
hope that helps :)

I believe you may get an auto back but I would be 99% positive it will be auto-penned. A lot of athletes do that too.
