    Anyone have press plate knowledge?

    I have this 2001 topps gallery Alfonso Soriano press plate..I have looked on ebay, and since one of four colors exists..I have one of four...Any way, I thought that maybe some one would have some insight on this subject..thanks for your time, ken

    I'm not so sure what you're trying to get at either. However, Beckett does not list 4 different colors for the "Topps Gallery Press Plates." For Alfonso Soriano, they only list:

    2001 Topps Gallery Press Plates 103 Alfonso Soriano

    yeah, they might not list them, and its possible they only released one color, but the other colors do exist

    thanks for the replies, sorry for the confusion,,there are four colored plates for each player, black, cyan, magenta and yellow, I have cyan, and was wondering what value they have...hope that clarifies...dont know much about plates..thanks

    The plates don't have a value because they are considered a 1/1, meaning the only one produced. They are too scarce to place value on.

    So there are four per player.


    As for value, I think your best bet is to see what other plates from the set have sold for, and also what Soriano plates have sold for.

    I've collected a good chunk of press plates for a while now and I find that you can't give a BV for them because they're 1/1.

    You're best bet is to, as andrew said, look at what others have sold for and base a value off that
