Newb needs help with '07 Bowman Chrom
Used to collect when I was little - 8 to 12 years old..
Just started up again at 24 and bought about 20 packs of bowman chrome over the past few weeks.
Excuse me if I'm an idiot, but I can't figure out for the life of me which are "refractors". I have a clear one, a gold refractor of Chris Leak. It is a double thickness card and is obviously gold. I also have a Michael Bush card which is Michael Bush with a red background.
But for instance, I have a Calvin Johnson where it is him "in action" with only a greenish background behind him. Same with Russell and Selvin Young. Are these refractors? Can someone fill me in on how you tell the difference between your basic Refractor?

Regular chrome card will just be chrome looking nice and shiny. Then the Refractor will have a foil look to it where the colors really kick and glow plus on the back it should say Refractor some where. Then the X-Fractors have tiles and a really strange reflection to then plus they should be numbered and say X-fractor on the back.
When you open a pack and 3 look the same but 1 looks different then that one is probably a Refractor or Xfractor. Collecting now is a lot different then when you were 12. Be wise with your money and good luck hope this helps.

It should say refractor on the back of the card, on the top right. Refractors have a rainbow type finish, like when you pass light through a prism.

Is it bowman chrome you are buying,or regular bowman?Regular bowman will have a couple chrome cards in each pack. The reason i question this is the "thick gold cards",a refractor would not be any thicker than a regular chrome, but the bowman gold cards are much more thick than the regular.
