Yeah, Jamie Dukes said the next goal was to get Ashomuga (spelling?) signed and that it would be a challenge.

Ashomuga can't honestly think he will get Hall money tho can he?

Sure he can ... IMO he's better than Hall by a long shot and I could almost guarantee that if the Faiders don't pay him what he's got coming some other team will.

I read somewhere (I think Rotoworld) that opposing QB's only threw to his side 23 times last year and of those 23 only 9 were completed passes.

the top 3 stories from Rotoworld on Asomugha ...

He won't be able to negotiate with other teams and will get at least $9.8 million with the exclusive version. Asomugha didn't repeat his eight-pick performance from 2006 last year, but that was because opponents rarely tested the 26-year-old. Through the first 14 weeks, only 27 passes were thrown at the Raiders' left corner. Nine of the attempts were complete.

The Raiders hope to avoid having to place the franchise tag on impending free agent CB Nnamdi Asomugha.
Oakland can do that by signing him long term. Asomugha, arguably the NFL's best cover corner, should easily get a deal rivaling Nate Clements'.

Raiders CB Nnamdi Asomugha has been thrown at 27 times in 14 games this season and has only allowed nine catches.
It might not get him in the Pro Bowl, however, even though a trip to Honolulu is a year overdue for Asomugha. Antonio Cromartie's 10 interceptions could put him over the top with Asante Samuel and Champ Bailey virtual locks. We suspect Oakland will still hit Asomugha with the franchise tag this offseason.

So they give Hall $70 Million and slap Aso in the face ... my opinion!! I don't believe he will even resign with them after this!

Of course they only threw at him 23 times, who was on the other side? Stanford Routt?

I bet with DHall on the team they throw down the middle more since Stewie and Huff are the safeties. It only makes sense to throw away from the best DB.

Stewie and Huff? Catch up with the news man. The Raiders signed former New York Giants safety Gibril Wilson weeks ago. Wilson isn't a slouch and is a huge upgrade over Sweigart.
