Team Collecting!!

Hey guys,

I have really been thinking lately about the hobby and how it often is swayed so much by the "profit" side of it and not the fun of collecting. I have really been wanting to focus alot more on the teams that I love and root for week in and week out. It would be easy to go out and grab every base card ever made and put them in boxes to be lost forever. That being said im really looking to collect numbered and vintage cards of these teams with a few exceptions. Let me know how you all feel about team collecting and if you would be interested in joing a team collector group on SCF. Just looking for feedback here guys on what you think. Thanks!!

team collecting is the only way to go man, easier and cheaper than collecting a player or whoever is hot, and in the end its more satisfying, seems more like a hobby than a business

check out my pats pc, i try to go after every pat who has every signed a card or had a gu card,

the best thing about it is theres always someone knew to find, the fun never stops

Yeah, I agree team collecting is the way to go. It is far too expensive and there are way too many different products now to keep up with every player. I've been adding to my Packers PC pretty regularly since I started just collecting them a few months ago.

I also enjoy team collecting..Right now my Dallas Cowboys collection is close to 5,000 cards and my collection of players who have played at Penn State is close to 3,000 cards..

Hey guys,
Yeah that definitely sounds like it would be alot more fun then trying to figure out who is the next hot rookie and keeping up with all these products. I intend to keep my HOFer rookie card collection going but just workn on that slowly. I will be back in town from my never ending business trip late next week so ill get back to you all soon if you want to do some trades for your respective teams and maybe help me get this off the ground.
