I'm just curious at how much you guys spend on cards a year. I haven't collected in a while but a few years ago I would spend about

    500/year on boxes and packs
    200-300/yr on singles

Now that I am graduating, I think I may be spending a bit more. But then again the house mortgage may say otherwise

The only time of the year I buy boxes is when I get my tax refund back, then I usually spend around $200-$250 on boxes..

The rest of the time when I go to the local card shop I buy packs..So I would say on an average I spend around $500 a year at the card shop here..Thanks Ed
I only trade by Beckett price guide, not eBay comp or SV, TV..I also do not collect any Panini or Donruss Baseball products..

I don't spend that much being a poor college student. However, I still probably spend a couple hundred on boxes, a hundred or so on pack, and depending on pulls and money, anywhere from 50 to 300 on singles.

I'd say I'm about in the same range as everyone else so far...I don't buy many singles, but 6-7 decent boxes a year and only a few packs. I spend very little money out of pocket though...almost all of the money I spend is either from birthday/Christmas gifts or stuff I sell on eBay. Once we're not paying a mortgage for a house we don't live in, I may be able to up that a little bit...but until then, I have to find creative ways to get the money I spend on cards...

I'm with you on the Ebay thing. Ebay has helped me pay for college as well as my addiction to electronics and cards.

does this include trades on here? like shipping cost? i'd guess about $350-400 a year.
