    What would you do?

First I sent the card to get graded by JSA and then beckett and then called JSA day after day asking them to just return my shipment to sender when it came in. I gave them my name, addy, and number and they said they would call when it arrived so I eventually just quit calling expecting that they received it and sent it back......then today I get my card back and they charged my card of course!!!! I told them to either wne me the card back by return to sender or just send the card to BGS so they could grade it themselves and I was told they would call me.....NO CALL EVER! So I get my card back graded in it's capsul or whatever, should I call b/c the same lady answer JSA everytime and tell her I'm expecting them to refund my money? I don't want to send the card back have them unencapsol it and then mess up my card......and also what value would you give this card? first pic is of it w/o grade and second is aftger grade.....do you give it more value before or after graded(and what value)?>Thanks ahead of time....shouldn't have wasted my time w/ JSA

I would think that a 6 on the autograph really hurts the value.

yea graded 6 pretty much kills the value of a sweet card.....could be worse though!......its still worth quite a bit though obviously but say its worth 750$ tehn the value now (b/c of the auto grade) would prolly kick it down to 225-250

So should I bust the capsul? or send it back and have then grade just the card like I asked them too? instead they charge my card and graded it anyway or will they still grade the auto w/ the card no matter what? I guess I can just call them and work this out w/ them it just pisses me off the lady told me I would get a call when my package came in and then next thing I know I'm getting the card out my house graded!!!They just wanted my money that witch!

Thanks guys (I guess it's something to figure out what I want to to by myself and I knew that auto grade hurts it b/c i bought the card at 325; I feel like it's worth like you said sportz between 625 and 800, but after that grade it make it a 250 card!)

Any more suggestions I'll take them as I will be calling JSA tomorrow and asking for a refund at least and then possibly poppin this capsul

AFter reading this I can understand a grade 7 the magic johnson is like a 10 the julius erving woudl be like a 7/8 and the larry I guess could be given a 6 but as a whole it makes no sense....you kinda have to see the card in person to understand.....however i guess a 6 as they explain isn't that bad?
    Grading Criteria:

    10 Gem-Pristine
    - A perfect, bold signature, devoid of any noticeable flaws. Signed in a location with excellent contrast, and according to the typical expected appearance of that signature. Overall an exceptionally appealing autograph.

9 Mint - Appearing nearly perfect, a very minor flaw may be exhibited here under very close examination, such as placement or contrast that is excellent, though not quite as strong as would be preferred. A small spot of very minor ink flow inconsistency or an inconspicuous light variance in boldness.

8 Near Mint-Mint - Nice, appealing signature with a minor flaw such as a trace amount of fading or bleeding on 1-2 letters, ink skips of a fairly inconsequential nature, or a very small spot of bubbling on a letter or two. Location of the signature or contrast level may be very slightly less than preferable, but not unattractive.

7 Near Mint - Consistent light amount of fading or very light bleeding throughout much of the signature, yet still aesthetically acceptable. Location exhibits lack of contrast in portions of the autograph. Extremely light original retracing may be allowable. Ink skips or bubbling, although still minor, may affect 2-4 letters slightly.

6 Excellent-Mint - Ink flow or skips affecting several letters of the signature, but not to the point of creating an aesthetically unpleasant autograph. A more noticeable degree of fading or bleeding throughout, although still evenly distributed. Light original retracing allowed on a couple of letters.

5 Excellent - Fading, bleeding, bubbling, multiple ink flow issues, or skipping are evident, but all letters are still fully decipherable. Portions of signature nearly indistinguishable from the background due to lack of contrast. A minor smudge or blemish may be visible. Original retracing on up to one-quarter of the autograph surface area.

4 Very Good-Excellent - Original retracing on up to one-third of the autograph surface area. Fading, bleeding, bubbling, or ink skips to the point of a letter or two being nearly indistinguishable. At this grade, autograph location and contrast issues begin to contribute to a lack of eye appeal.

3 Very Good - An aesthetically unpleasing signature, with a minimum of half of the signature distinguishable. Poor autograph location, yellowing throughout, or original retracing allowed on up to three-quarters of the signature.

2 Good - Difficult to see, but the signature is identifiable. Portions may be completely invisible, but a minimum of one-quarter of the signature can be distinguished. Considerable lack of eye appeal.

1 Poor - An autograph so poor that it can barely be identified under close scrutiny and with much difficulty. Extremely unappealing.

I would bust it open and send it in to BGS or just bust it and keep it.

but isn't the card on file now so if i bust it and send it to bgs they will know plus the same grade would be given? I'm thinking about just busting it after I get a refund for them grading it after I told them not too!
